We are an experimental research group located at the Cavendish Laboratory of the University of Cambridge with a broad research portfolio on quantum science and applications using solid-state light-matter interfaces. In particular, our research themes are Spin-based Quantum Networks, Quantum Sensing in the Nanoscale and Novel Materials for Quantum Devices. The physical systems we are currently investigating include semiconductor quantum dots, colour centres in diamond and atomically thin layered materials. Our research spans over four laboratory spaces, which comprise magneto-optical cryostations (LHe & closed-cycle), scanning probe stations, a plethora of microwave and laser systems, as well as a dedicated clean room space for sample and device preparation.
